Nature Walk Pullover: Packer Style

We won't discuss Monday night's football game and the idiot replacement referees.  That's still a sore subject around here.

Here at the M Casa we are trying to put that debacle behind us and look forward to Sunday's game against the Saints.  And someone has a new pullover to wear during the game.  That is if the weather cools down.;)

P is wearing the Nature Walk Pullover from Oliver + S in a size 12.  The top is made in a green polar fleece with Green Bay Packer woven fabric for the inside of the collar, front facing, and for the lining.  The fit is decent but if I make him another, I'll lengthen the body a few inches.

My camera's battery died before I could get a picture of the Packer fabric that is visible inside the pockets.  Originally, I was going to use the GBP fabric for the lower front and back panels but I opted to go with a less obvious look.

For your enjoyment, I'll share a little funny incident involving this pullover...

When the top was finished with the exception of hemming, I held it up and thought, "Hmm, I bet this will fit me."  It went on okay and kind of fit but was a bit tight through the chest.  I went to pull it off so that P could try the pullover on and disaster struck.  I. Could. Not. Get. The. Top. Off. The polar fleece has give but the lining on the lower half is a quilting cotton and has no give.  I started freaking out and was sweating bullets.  Polar fleece is not the material to be wearing when it is 83 degrees out!  Luckily, with both of my older kids helping me, I was able to escape the shirt of doom.  I'm just glad neither one of them thought to take a picture.  That's what I would have done if the situation had been reversed!
