Shelley from Bartacks and Singletrack is picking up where Jessica from A Little Gray left off in hosting a sewalong for the Oliver + S Little Things To Sew book. There's also a giveaway associated with it so go check it out!
I've sewn quite a few items from the book but there are still several more projects that I want to try. The messenger bag for one has been on my list since I bought the book. One of these days...
pattern: Cozy Winter Hood from Little Things to Sew
size: the smallest
fabric: dark blue velveteen and a cream colored fleece
This hood is so incredibly soft and plush. I wish I had a little one to wear the hood! It's destined for my great-nephew who will hopefully be making an appearance sometime soon. :)
pattern: Purl Bee Smocked Summer Scarf
fabric: Anna Maria Horner Innocent Crush Voile
You can't really see in the picture but there are 6 sections of shirring on the scarf. It's going to be a hostess gift. Though, I'm terribly tempted to keep it! I have plenty more voile so perhaps when the Christmas gift sewing is done I'll make one for myself.
And speaking of Christmas sewing...I'm tired even thinking about it. I have an even more ambitious list than previous years. Since I have all 4 kids in school full day this year, there's no excuse to not complete it. Well, I'm sure I'll have a few excuses but lack of time shouldn't be one.;)
Are you sewing anything special for Christmas this year? Clothes, gifts, decorations?
