I'm helping wrap up the Imagine Gnats January Pattern Tour today!
I was one of the pattern testers for the Tumble Tee last spring. I sewed up two (here and here) and the girls wore them quite a bit over the summer. When Rachael offered the long sleeve as a free download in October, I knew I needed to make a long sleeve Tumble Tee this winter.
pattern: Imagine Gnats Tumble Tee
size: 6
fabric: Liberty of London Jersey Print and hot pink cotton interlock
mods: added some color blocking and a heart applique
The Tumble Tee is easy to color block and therefore, a great pattern to use up scraps of knit. I didn't have quite enough Liberty Jersey to make the top long enough so I chopped 3" off of my pattern's front and back so I could add the hot pink. *Don't forget to add seam allowances to the bottom of your main pattern piece(s) and the top of the 3" piece(s).
The heart was a last minute addition. When I went to get BK so I could take pictures of her wearing the Tumble Tee, I noticed that her back pockets on her jeans were hearts.
I couldn't resist adding a little heart applique to the front of the top.:) It's nothing fancy. I drew a heart, cut it out of a scrap of red interlock, eyeballed the placement and pinned it to the top, and stitched it on.
